Miracles and Magic"There are two ways to look at the universe - nothing is a miracle - everything is a miracle"- Albert Einstein Each of us have had wonderful times and each of us have had times that were far from wonderful. In fact, we experience every moment of every day to be a wonderful miracle or we experience it to be something less than we would prefer. This article, and The WonderCourseTM that it was written to introduce, are literally living invitations to transform your life into an ongoing, living miracle. At the beginning of each section of the WonderCourse you will find this article or one similar. I wish to take every opportunity to invite you to create "Life Ecstasy". When we think of magic we often conjure up a vision of a great sorceress or wizard waving their magic wand to vanish the things they do not want and materialize the things they do. So it is with life. When we cease to wave our magic wands and grace the world with beauty and wonder, there ceases to be beauty and wonder in the world. When we finally resign ourselves to the idea that there really are no magic wands, and even if there were we wouldn't get one, then we literally resign ourselves to being the unwanted effect of a world devoid of joy and splendor. We inherit a default reality that is flat, uninteresting and empty at best, or a world horrible to endure in the extreme. We literally tune ourselves to a life channel that is a living absence of all of the things that make life worth living. How does it happen? How do we devolve from the state where everything is a miracle to the point where nothing is? And how, pray tell, do we get back to that universe of eternal joy and wonder that is our true birthright? Well, that's what the WonderCourse is all about-workable answers to these questions. Let us begin.
Decisions, Judgments, Evaluations and the Need to Be RightAs with all great truths, fundamentally the answers to these questions are quite simple and yet infinitely profound. The magic goes away when we get into the habit of making certain types of decisions, judgments and evaluations. We decide that something is lousy, boring, horrible or the same old thing. We decide that who or what we are looking at has no value. We decide and at the speed of thought it becomes so. With a power greater than the wizards and sorceresses of old we instantaneously materialize into existence realities that we say we do not want. Then again with the speed of an idea, we insist that there is nothing we can do about it. We decide that this is simply the way it is. We say and imply to ourselves and every living entity that no power on heaven or Earth can or ever will change it. We insist that we are right in this decision, and we defend ourselves against anything or anyone who would dare to say or imply that we are wrong. And so it becomes as we have said it is. So powerful are we, and so in denial of our true power are we, that we can instantaneously abandon any and all responsibility for the realties we materialize. In less than the blinking of an eye we can tune ourselves to the belief that we had nothing to do with the creation of the realities we find ourselves embroiled in. Imagine for a moment the kind of power that it takes to pull that off. Imagine being able to create something and simultaneously convince yourself that you had absolutely nothing to do with it's creation. Imagine being able to create so fast that even your own awareness does not alert you to what you are creating. This is not all of it. Our creativity is even greater than this. There are many other things that we instantaneously and simultaneously create. There is the idea that this is all philosophically and poetically profound but it is, after all, only an idea. We evaluate ideas that say we create our own realities. At one level we seek to embrace them and make them true. Another part of us holds secretly and tenaciously to the idea that it is not really true. Again, at the speed of thought, we identify ourselves with the human condition. Once again a seemingly hidden part of ourselves insists that our power is limited. Once again we stand ready and willing to prove this fact to anyone, including ourselves. This insistence, by the way, is one of the ideas that enables us to create and experience ourselves as limited beings. It is a key creation for those who would become true Masters of Limitation. It, and many ideas like it, are examined in detail when you do the Limitation Mastery Re-Membering Sections of the WonderCourse. With great skill and cleverness a part of ourselves seeks to prove that we are limited beings, that we do not create the realities we find ourselves in. It tells us we are simply the victims of them. Our brain and our mind assist us in this task, for they were designed to serve us. When, in the blink of an eye, we think or decide that we are limited, our servant mind begins to drag up or create all sorts of evidence to prove that we are right. It presents to us experiences that validate our thought, and it excludes any experience or data that would say otherwise. Like the computer that has been programmed to serve your requests, your mind has been programmed to prove that any decision you make it correct. There are other ideas that contribute to the concept that we are not the designers of our experience. There is the idea that we could never really allow ourselves to have the kind of power I have been talking about. If we did, we would misuse it in some unethical way. This too is a marvelous limitation perpetuation idea. It enables us to continually pretend that we do not and should not have this kind of power. It is an idea that seems vitally necessary to the maintenance of the game of limitation. However in truth it is not. We reason that if we were to discover ourselves as the creators of the games and realities of life, we would simultaneously destroy these games and realities, or they would become less fun. We can create and tune ourselves to stories and plays that dramatize the destruction of created realities. They are, nevertheless, created stories and scenarios. They can be very real stories, especially when we cast ourselves in them as principle players. It is valuable to realize that there are other truths that are even more fundamental. One of these is the truth that nothing ever really gets destroyed. It is just an illusion, an apparency of existence. It is a relative truth. In a more universal and fundamental sense, everything goes on forever. The ability to process universal energy in anyway we choose exists eternally. Any reality that has or ever will exist can be energized and tuned to. It is possible to realize that you are the creator of the realities you experience and still have a marvelous time playing in them. In fact, from this point of view the they become better than ever. The games of limitation will never be destroyed by a sudden realization that you are all powerful. For they, like all games and all things, are eternal. They always do and always will exist as realities and channels that one can tune to at will. The proof of that is the fact that people are tuning to these very realties as we speak, and if you wish, you can become consciously and gloriously aware of this. In fact, that is the very path we are now on. It is possible to get everything and anything you want without the need to harm anyone including yourself, in the process. Magic and miracles are your true birthright. Christ, when he was performing his miracles, turned to his apostles and said, "These things ye shall do and greater things." It is true. There are ways to do these things. I have experienced them as have many others. Every day I discover more about how to do this and every day I seek to present the material to those who are ready to receive it. The WonderCourse is simply a compilation of some of the workable ways discovered so far. It is an ever- evolving course, a path to the life we all want to live. It is not the only path, but it is a path that has enabled many to accelerate their progress in the direction they choose to go.
Reprogramming the Reality Default ModesThe human body is an energy translating device. Like a television, it takes fundamental vibrations and energies and translates them into a particular experiential reality.Press channel two on your remote and the energy processing device called your TV will translate the vibrations being created at the station into sights and sounds that you and your body can experience as familiar realities. Actually, the television is not only focusing in on channel two's vibrations and energies, it is excluding the vast spectrum of vibrations that are being created and modulated by all of the other broadcast stations. To a great degree the TV is a filtering device. So it is with our body senses. Normally we look ot our senses as perception devices, and they are. However, they are also filtering devices. They too filter out a wide spectrum of energies that could potentially result in other realities if they were processed. Sometimes people do process these energies and they, or others, refer to the experience as delusional. They are actually no less real that any other experience. They are simply, from a human point of view, less familiar. Since all human bodies process the spectrums of energy in more or less the same way, we end up with a common reality that we refer to as normal. However as you can discover doing WonderCourse Universe and Conscience Tuning Exercises, there are literally an infinite number of ways to process the spectrum of energy, and thus an infinite number of realties that can be experienced. Thanks to the contribution of people like Bill Gates and all of the wonderful computer wizards, we now have a new set of energy processing devices that give us a new set of seemingly fixed realities. Load a Windows program, press a few keys and a reality will appear on your computer screen. That reality, like the reality we experience as humans, has a definite set of seemingly fixed rules and parameters. There are things you can do and things you cannot. However, if your are good enough as a programmer, you can alter the base reality that the computer returns to. Those of us who possess a limited computer literacy generally prefer to have the stable familiar reality that the computer continually returns to. We tend to like the default mode that reasserts itself each time we wander off into some unfamiliar territory. So it is with physical reality. We are constantly returned to the physical reality default mode. The mode that says our bodies only live so long and they only stay healthy and vibrant for a limited period of time. This is the mode that says we cannot stay forever healthy and young even if we choose to. This too is a programmed set of parameters that can be changed if you know how. Geneticists are discovering one method of altering the basic default mode program. However, there are more fundamental and basic ways this can be achieved, and the proof will be experiencing it to be true. In conclusion, let me welcome you to this invitation to experience miracles and magic. Let me invite you to choose to see and experience all of life as a miracle. Let me invite you to discover more and more workable ways to deliberately create the life you most want to experience. The WonderCourse is intended to be a trek into a wondrous world were anything and everything is possible. I invite you to lightly decide that it will be that for you, and I invite you to let go of any further expectations and dive in. Welcome to the WonderCourse!TM May it be one of the grandest experiences of your life. John Michael Rafanello |
