The 3rd and final installment of the trilogy is a grand epic adventure that spans a million year history of the Italian people and culminates in their arrival on Earth.

There is, of course, no way to tell the entire story in one film. During this time period more than ten thousand generations of family members were born.  If we ever want to tell the whole story, we will have to follow the film with the longest mini-series in history.

The story of the Italian Nation, which came into existence long after the family’s arrival, is one that has been told in numerous books, films and documentaries.

There are very few accurate portrayals, however, of their early days on our planet. As far as I know, no historically accurate Sci-Fi film has ever depicted the ship that dropped them off, nor has it given us the pleasure of enjoying the sound of their original accent.  The many dialects that followed are fun and similar, but they lack the richness of the original.
