Being What You See This exercise can be done solo, in which case you give yourself the commands, or it can be done by receiving the instructions from another. The most ideal sequence is to get a caring, safe friend to direct you first. Then do it on your own. This sequence proves especially valuable when the friend simply gives you the commands and listens and acknowledges your responses without putting in his or her opinions or judgements. Make sure you are well rested, and not hungry. Take three deep and slow breaths and begin. - Wherever you are, begin to look at the details of your environment. Spot and notice a number of specific details including the temperature of the room and how you feel.
- Now, again, look at many different objects in your environment and each time you do get the idea and the feeling that they are separate from you.
- Now, as best you can, get the IDEA that you are the things you are perceiving.
(i.e. You are the walls, you are the objects, you are the air, you are the temperature, you are your thoughts and feeling, you are whatever you perceive.) - Now get the FEELING that you are what you perceive. Make the feeling as real as you can. Pretend it's real and allow your pretense to be real.
- Now alternate the two back and forth.
First get the IDEA and the FEELING of being separate from what you see. Then get the idea and feeling that you are what you perceive. Take you time and alternate the two back and forth. - Now go outside and do the exercise.
First, get the IDEA and the FEELING that what you see and perceive is occurring outside of yourself. Then get the idea and the feeling that YOU ARE the incident that is occurring. You are what you perceive. Do this many times and end off when you are satisfied and have had some kind of growth experience or win. - Now mentally or in writing go over what you experienced.
This exercise can be repeated many times. It defines a primary difference between what has been called the 3rd and the 4th density. In the 3rd density we operate as if we are separate from the incidents that are going on around us, and in 4th density, we operate as if we are the incidents that are occurring.
