AN INVITATION TO MASTER TIMEAccording to legend, there existed, and exists, an ancient culture of eternal wisdom known to the people of Earth as the Morians. It is said of these people that they have a very strange belief. They believe that each and every idea we create instantaneously creates an entire universe that is a reflection of that idea. If, for instance, you decided that you were remembering something from the far distant past, then instantly, according to the Morians, histories would spring into existence to confirm the fact that what you were remembering had really happened. Libraries throughout the known universe would fill with history books detailing the particulars of your memory. Archeological digs would spring into existence uncovering physical evidence of your recall, and people everywhere would know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that these things had truly happened. But if, in the next instant, you decided this was not a memory but just an excursion of your wild imagination, then instantly, according to the Morians, the universe would fill with people who would know that what you were saying was not really a memory. It was only an excursion of your wild imagination. So travel with us now as we invite you to create what will be a new reality, or a new imagining, or both.
SYSTEMS OF TIME"Repeat after me", an ancient Morian once requested of his students."THE PRESENT IS A RESULT OF THE PAST, THE PRESENT IS A RESULT OF THE PAST. WHAT ONE DID IN THE PAST EFFECTS THE PRESENT ONE NOW HAS. WHAT ONE DECIDED IN THE PAST IS STILL TO SOME DEGREE IN EFFECT. THIS IS A WAY TO LOOK AT AND CREATE TIME." NOTE: The article "a" is herein defined as, an indefinite article denoting singularity. In other words, this is one of the ways one could look at time. In many cultures the above statements are a well accepted, and often very fixed way of looking at time. What we have is a result of what we did in the past. This is a REALITY that few would dare to argue with lest they invite the people they value to think ill of them, or worse. Yet it is said that the same Morian who invited his students to repeat the above statements over and over, also got them to repeat theses: "THE PRESENT IS NOT A RESULT OF THE PAST. THE PRESENT IS NOT A RESULT OF THE PAST. THE PAST IS A RESULT OF THE PRESENT. THE ONLY PAST WE HAVE IS THE PAST THAT WE CREATE IN THE PRESENT. WHAT ONE DID IN THE PAST DOES NOT EFFECT THE PRESENT. WHAT ONE DECIDED IN THE PAST HAS NO REAL EFFECT ON THE PRESENT. THIS IS YET ANOTHER WAY OF LOOKING AT TIME." "But which way is THE WAY?" a student might ask of the Morian. "Which way is it really?" "Which ever way you create it to be", the Morian would reply. And so might begin a seemingly unending set of questions. And so might begin a series of heated arguments. And so might even begin an attack on your very existence by those who would be most upset if you were to take the invitation, or have the audacity to even think that your time was being created by you. And so begins this invitation. An invitation to discover just how much time you may be able to master. It is an invitation that begins in Legend, then treks into reality and then back into the nature of those who have created what we call time. |
