A Limitation Mastery Exercise This process can be done with someone else giving you the command steps one by one or it can be done alone. Either way, be sure to read and study these steps before doing them. Be sure they are clearly understood. Review them as many times as necessary. Also be sure, while doing the steps, to acknowledge the person or yourself upon completion of each one. THE STEPS - Create a comfortable space where you will no be disturbed. Put the phone on the answer machine. Make sure you are not hungry or physically tired.
- Decide if you would like to do this process sitting up or lying down. Then sit yourself in a comfortable chair or lie down in a comfortable place.
- Take three slow deep breaths. Breath in through your nose and out through your mouth and visualize your lung filling from the bottom to the top and then emptying from the to the bottom.
- Scan your body from head to toe and then from toe to head and relax all of the parts as best you can.
- Take three more deep breaths as you did above.
- Now become aware of the space that extends about ten feet above your head. Put your attention on the space, not any objects. Now be aware of the space ten feet below your feet. Now, with your eyes closed, scan from a point ten feet above your head to a point ten feet below your feet, allowing you attention to pass from the space above, through the body to the space below. Again relax all parts as best you can.
- Now, with your eyes closed, intensify your awareness and perception of your body and the surrounding space. Be aware of any sounds, smells or feelings.
- Now relax and let go of the urge to do anything.
- Now attempt to levitate your body, and continue to do so for at least 3 minutes. Be acutely aware of what happens when you attempt to do this.
Be aware of: - any efforting
- any thoughts
- any feelings
- any impulses to do or be anything
Do not attempt to change or alter these perceptions consciously. Just be aware of them. If they change apparently of their own accord, be aware of that too. - After three minutes of doing this, let go of any attempt to levitate. Open your eyes and take a good look around the room.
Now take three deep breaths. Close your eyes. Now get the idea that you have never before attempted to levitate. Get and feel that idea as best you can. Pretend it. Imagine it Let your imagination be as real as you can. - Now attempt to levitate the body for at least three minutes and this time:
- Be intensely interested in not being able to pull it off.
- Become fascinated with your inability to levitate no matter what you do.
- Admire your ability to not pull it off.
- Acknlowledge and validate yourself for a magnificent job of limitation mastery.
- Admire, and be fascinated with, how well you have mastered the ability to not levitate.
The key words here are, "fascination", "admiration", "acknowledgement", and "validation". Fascination and admiration with how you keep yourself limited no matter what. Acknowledgement and validation of your skill. - Repeat Steps 10 and 11 as many time as you like and end off when you feel you have accomplished something of value and you feel good.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If at any time you actually do levitate, apologize and forgive yourself for having failed to Master Your Limitations in this area and try again. (And call me!) John Michael Rafanello WonderTech's Chief Visioneer
